About Gateway Florist
Gateway Florist, owned by Kent and Tina, Cooksey is located on the family's 130- acre farm in La Plata, Md. We were originally located in Waldorf, Md., for 17 years and moved to our family's farm in 2007. The farm, which is called Fair Fountain Farm, was originally owned by Frank and Grace Cooksey (Kent's grandparents). They historically raised tobacco along with vegetables and livestock to feed their large family.Gateway Florist is a full-service florist offering delivery for all occasions: birthdays, get well, sympathy, weddings and for no occasion at all. We offer delivery throughout La Plata as well as Waldorf, White Plains, Mechanicsville, Hughesville and many other areas within Charles and St. Mary's Counties. Gateway Florist is a proud member of the Charles County Chamber of Commerce and Society of American Florists.
